This day-long conference is an in-person collaborative program drawing from our knowledgeable and talented local community.  Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Well-Being are a key focus and will be woven throughout. Our intention is to grow this event annually in the years to come, offering a place for our local and regional veterinary community to gather, learn, and connect. The Portland Veterinary Medical Association acknowledges that we are located on the traditional lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Chinook, Tualatin Kalapuya, Molalla, and other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. We recognize these communities as the original stewards of this land and honor the enduring relationship that exists between these peoples and their traditional territories. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. As we carry out our work, we commit to learning about these lands’ rich history, engaging respectfully with Indigenous communities, and contributing to healing and reconciliation efforts.
